Packet Power is pleased to now offer a power monitor capable of measuring energy usage on 480V AC circuits. The new product maintains the same compact form factor as our existing three-phase monitor and extends our wireless metering to include 480V 3-wire delta and 277/480V 4-wire wye circuits.

The 480V three-phase power monitor tracks A, V, VA, W, Wh, power factor, frequency, THDv and THDi at ±1.0% accuracy. It is used in new models of our “B”, “P”, “M” and “R” product lines. The existing 240/415V monitor and its associated products are unchanged and will continue to be sold and fully supported.

The new monitor extends the simplicity of wireless monitoring to 480V circuits. It also makes wireless monitoring a more viable solution for use in facilities outside of data centers. The new unit can be powered independently of the circuit it monitors and utilizes the same wireless technology as our other meters. An optional wire harness with in-line fuses is available to lower installation costs.

PQI Launches All Standard Products in AUTODESK®/REVIT® – Building Information Modeling (BIM) Formats for MEP Firms

PQI is pleased to announce that all standard PQI Products – Harmonic Mitigating Transformers (Distribution TransFilters), Ultra-High Efficiency Transformers (e-Rated®) and Zero-Sequence Harmonic Filters (I0Filters) are now available in AUTODESK®/REVIT® Building Information Modeling (BIM) software (http://seek.autodesk.com).

Many MEP firms and End-User Customers utilize REVIT®. PQI is excited to now be included in this Building Information Modelling (BIM) Software.

Real Time Flux Control™ for DIR

The SuperSwitch®4 is designed with a ‘true’ fault-tolerant architecture, ensuring there is truly no single point of failure by utilizing our patented transfer algorithms and robust electrical components. It boasts improved power quality detection that is immune to harmonics and load imbalance between the phases. In applications with downstream transformers, the SuperSwitch®4 limits potential high transient inrush currents using state of the art digital signal processors and a newly developed, algorithm called Real Time Flux Control™ for dynamic inrush restraint (DIR). The results of this innovative approach is out of phase transfers up to 25% faster and inrush currents that are 40% lower than the SuperSwitch®3. This intelligent proprietary technology ensures performance that exceeds CBEMA and ITIC standards, regardless of phase drift between sources.

Ease of installation and serviceability were two key priorities in the development of the SuperSwitch®4. While maintaining a footprint approximately 30% smaller than comparable industry models, this next generation DSTS utilizes modular components, staggered phase connections, and flexible access from either the front, side, or rear of the unit. These features allow end users the ability to optimize available floor space with the SuperSwitch®4.
